Important!
Shape-Its food forms are oven-safe to 350º for up to 20 minutes. If your recipe calls for a higher cooking/baking time or temperature, please modify your recipe to bake in intervals that fall within these limits.
Also, remember to always use cooking spray regardless of the type of food you are making. This makes for an easier, cleaner release of the food from the food form.

• Preheat cooking surface to approximately 325º - 350º.
• Prepare favorite pancake batter recipe or use any pancake mix.
• Turn both handles on food form to upright position.
• Spray inside of form with cooking spray, or use other cooking lubricant (shortening, butter, etc). Be sure to cover entire inside surface. Repeat this step every two to three pancakes, or as necessary.
• Place form on flat cooking surface. Pour approximately ½ cup pancake batter into form. Use a spoon to spread batter to edges of form, if necessary. Do not fill form(s) more than 1/3 full.
• Cook until batter forms bubbles on top and pulls slightly from edges of the form.
• Carefully lift form from cooking surface. Turn pancake and let cook until golden brown.
• Remove and serve with favorite decorations/toppings.
Pancake Tips:
Place 2-3 drops of food coloring per cup of pancake batter and mix well for colorful, fun pancakes. Use gels, sprinkles, food markers, fruits, berries, chocolate chips, etc. to decorate.
Shape-Its Cakes (single or double-layer)
• Preheat oven to 350º.
• Prepare favorite cake batter recipe or prepare cake mix, as directed.
• Turn handles to upright position.
• Spray inside of form with cooking spray (may use floured baking spray, if desired).
• Place form(s) on greased baking sheet.
• Pour batter into form(s) filling approximately ½ full; use spoon to spread batter to edges, if necessary. (Batter may slightly seep under form edges)
• Bake 8-10 minutes, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
• Remove baking sheet from oven and let cool for approx. 5 minutes.
• Carefully remove form(s) from cake(s) using handles to lift gently as cakes pull away from sides of form(s).
• Using a spatula, transfer cakes to cooking rack and cool completely before decorating.
Cake Tips:
Freeze cake(s) before frosting or decorating for greater ease in spreading. If making a two-layer cake, freeze cakes separately before stacking. Use favorite frosting recipe or try our own Cream Cheese Frosting recipe.
Shape-Its Pizza
• Preheat oven to 350º.
• Prepare favorite pizza dough recipe or use prepared, refrigerated pizza dough.
• Roll dough onto greased baking sheet.
• Turn form handles to upright position.
• Spray inside of form(s) with cooking spray.
• Place form(s) on pizza dough and gently press until form has cut through dough (place as many forms as will fit on dough).
• Without removing form(s), carefully remove excess dough from around/between the form(s).
• Place baking sheet with dough-filled forms in oven for 8 minutes.
• Remove baking sheet from oven and carefully spread pizza sauce to approx. ¼ inch from edge of form(s). Add desired ingredients: cheese, meats, vegetables, etc. (If letting children decorate own pizzas, let baking sheet cool for several minutes before adding toppings)
• Return baking sheet to oven and let bake for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until done.
• Remove baking sheet from oven and let cook 4-5 minutes, or until handles are cool enough to touch.
• Carefully remove form(s) by lifting in an upward direction.
• Using a spatula, remove pizza(s) from baking sheet and serve.
Pizza Tips:
When decorating pizzas, use toppings to create eyes, spots, etc. Pepperoni slices work great for a turtle shell and olive slices for eyes. Pizza ingredients should be added in this order: sauce, cheese, meats, vegetables and a small amount of cheese on top. Be careful not to layer ingredients to deep to ensure proper baking of crust.
